This is a gentle yoga class suitable for people experiencing chronic pain.
The class focuses on relaxation, breath awareness, breathing exercises, body awareness and gentle movement all working within the edge of pain sensation helping you to feel beyond pain.
Our body was designed to move with ease. However, trauma and repetitive activity misalign the body creating compensatory patterns that often lead to dysfunctional movement patterns, all leading to chronic pain and dis-ease.
This class focuses on a therapeutic approach to improving functional movement. You will learn to fine tune your body through movement, breath awareness and control, and relaxation.
Focusing on hips, shoulders and spine, the emphasis is on developing core strength and pain free range of movement while building stability, mobility, strength and flexibility of the whole body.
With improved functional movement the body returns to its original blueprint. When the body moves well, it feels well.
