  • A Thorough Exam
  • What Researchers Say

A Thorough Examination Is Your Answer.

orthoticYou need your feet for most activities so we realize that finding a solution to your foot problems could be life changing.  That’s why all of our examinations for any area of the body are thorough and the doctor will listen, and we mean really listen to your complaint.  Then the physical exam will depend on your case but the doctor will assess for overall function of all of the joints of your foot, assess your foot posture, check your nerve pathways and may suggest an x-ray to view the bone and joint health.

Once the doctor has sufficient information, the cause of your problem will be revealed and you will told the exact action steps needed to correct it.

Improper posture of your feet can be a huge problem.  Due to the intricacy of the foot joints correcting the alignment of the bones can prove very difficult with rehabilitation.  In most cases, the quickest and easiest way to ensure your feet joints are aligned properly is to be fitted for an orthotic.  If the doctor notices any imbalances then he may suggest that you be assessed for a custom orthotic insole.

Did you know that your foot problem can lead to low back pain?  There are many studies just like this one but an orthotic might not only help with your foot problem but could resolve any low back issues as well…

“This study split the 62 subjects into two groups that compared “usual care” versus usual care plus customized foot orthotics. The “usual care” consisted of a 6-week exercise therapy program and prescription analgesics. The study found that at the eighth week, the group receiving both usual care and foot orthotics reported greater improvement than the group receiving usual care alone.” — J Manipulative Physiol Ther 2013
