Even as a young child, Chantelle demonstrated a true interest and passion for helping those around her. That common and equally important thread can easily be seen through the choices she makes both personally and professionally. As a teen she co-oped at her elementary school in the special needs department where she flourished and took great pride while learning valuable, life enhancing skills. During her spare time, she volunteered assisting with the Burlington Barracuda’s annual friendship tournaments and worked along side staff at Nelson High School while they developed their first ever girl’s hockey team. She was also very active in the drama department, specifically costume design, earning her the Drama proficiency award in 2001. Now, married and a mother of two young and very active children, she believes now more then ever that being proactive and conscious of your health in addition to those around you should be a number one priority. Like grandma always said, “without your health, you have nothing!”. Sadly, later in life both grandparents ended up needing round the clock care which meant placing them in a nursing home as they showed sign’s of sever dementia in addition to several other aliments including cancer. During the 5 years of their special care, she made a point to visit as often as possible, 4 to 5 days a week, not only to connect with her grandparents, but to speak with other staff and seniors in the home that looked forward to her and her daughter’s conversation and companionship. Today, she looks forward to speaking with you in addition to our current patients with genuine concern on how she can help you/them live a more comfortable, healthier life.
